  • 12 lb Whole turkey Thawed completely
  • 0.5 cup Olive oil
  • 4 tbsp Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper Freshly ground

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Mix olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Rub the mixture under the skin and all over the turkey.
  • Place turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove foil in the last 30 minutes to allow the skin to brown.
  • Let rest for 20 minutes before carving.

Notes

This turkey pairs well with a variety of sides such as mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
