Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Combine cornmeal, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
Dip each catfish fillet in milk, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture.
Carefully place the fillets in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove fillets and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cornmeal mixture.
