Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Stir in the flour, salt, and 0.25 cup olive oil. Mix until a dough begins to form.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-6 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Punch down the dough and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Shape it into a rectangle.
Drizzle with additional olive oil, sprinkle with coarse sea salt and rosemary. Press fingertips into the dough to create dimples.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the focaccia is golden brown.
Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

You can add additional toppings like olives, sun-dried tomatoes, or caramelized onions for variation.
