  • 4 pieces chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 large red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 large yellow onion sliced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped, for garnish
  • 8 units flour tortillas warmed

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and toss to coat evenly with the spice mixture.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 7-8 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let rest. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Stir occasionally until the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.
  • Slice the chicken breasts into strips and return them to the skillet. Add lime juice and stir everything together until well combined.
  • Serve the chicken and vegetables with warm tortillas, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spices to your taste. Serve with additional toppings like sliced avocado or sour cream if desired.
