Preparation Steps

  • In a large saucepan, combine the melted butter, Dr. Pepper, and cocoa powder. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.

  • Pour the hot butter and cocoa mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  • Add the buttermilk, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until smooth.
