  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 1 pinch black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives finely chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with enough cold water to cover them by about an inch.
  • Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then remove the saucepan from heat, cover, and let it stand for 10 minutes.
  • Drain the hot water from the pan and place the eggs in ice water. Let them cool completely.
  • Peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a medium bowl.
  • Mash the yolks with a fork and stir in the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  • Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture using a spoon or a piping bag.
  • Garnish with paprika and chives. Serve immediately or chill before serving.

Notes

You can experiment with different garnishes or add-ins like bacon bits or pickles for variety.
