  • 4 hamburger buns toasted
  • 4 cheddar cheese slices optional

  • 0.5 red onion sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce leaves
  • 4 pickle slices optional

Preparation Steps

  • In a mixing bowl, add ground bison, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  • Add cheese slices to the burgers during the last minute of cooking if using.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing the bison patties on the toasted buns and topping with tomato, onion, lettuce, and pickles.
