Preparation Steps
In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
In the crockpot, combine the cooked ground beef, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
In the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the hot dogs to the crockpot to heat through.
Serve the hot dogs in buns and top with chili, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced onions.
Notes
For a spicier chili, add more chili powder or include diced jalapeños.
