Instructions
Preparation Steps
Toss the beef strips with cornstarch in a bowl and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef strips and fry until crispy and golden brown. Remove and drain excess oil.
In the same skillet, remove excess oil leaving about a tablespoon. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
Pour in the orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and orange zest. Stir and simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
Return the beef to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
Serve hot, garnished with scallions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For extra zest, add additional orange zest to taste. Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal.
