  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil or olive oil for frying
  • 1 medium lemon juiced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Set up a breading station: one shallow bowl with beaten eggs, another with the flour mixture, and a final one with the combined breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  • Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip in the eggs, then press into the breadcrumb mixture to coat.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  • Drizzle the chicken with lemon juice, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
