  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko recommended for extra crispiness
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated, optional
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Set up a breading station with three dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Dredge each piece of fish in flour, then dip into the eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the breaded fish sticks onto the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mixture.
