  • 12 oz spaghetti or your choice of pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream for a creamy texture
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest from 1 large lemon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss until well coated with the cream sauce.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and toss until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Add more lemon juice if you prefer a zestier flavor. Best served fresh.
