  • 8 oz Brie cheese cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce whole berry or smooth
  • 1 package puff pastry thawed and cut into squares
  • 0.25 cup chopped pecans optional, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary finely chopped, for garnish
  • 1 each egg beaten, for egg wash

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into small squares.
  • Place a small piece of Brie in the center of each pastry square.
  • Top each with a small spoonful of cranberry sauce.
  • Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg and fold over to enclose the filling, pinching the edges to seal.
  • Place the pastry bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with chopped pecans and rosemary, if using.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These bites are best served warm. You can prepare them ahead of time and bake just before serving. They make an excellent appetizer for parties and holiday gatherings.
