  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup sugar sprinkles for topping

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a rimmed cookie sheet.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  • Spread the dough evenly onto the prepared cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar sprinkles.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until lightly golden on top. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.
