  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and butter over low heat, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  • Fold in the shredded coconut until fully coated with the chocolate mixture.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden, then let them cool completely on a wire rack.
