Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Add the melted butter, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until combined.
Fold in the diced apples and walnuts, if using.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
For an extra touch, top with a simple glaze of powdered sugar and milk.
