  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips You can use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk A 14-ounce can is standard.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract is preferred.
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter Creamy preferred, but crunchy adds texture.
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt Omit if using salted peanut butter.

Preparation Steps

  • Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk over low heat.
  • Stir continuously until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, peanut butter, and salt until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
