Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the cold butter with a pastry cutter or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in chocolate chips.
In a separate bowl, mix together heavy cream and vanilla extract. Add to dry ingredients and stir just until moistened.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Shape into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into 8 wedges.
Place wedges on prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with extra cream.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
