  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour heat treated to kill bacteria
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.5 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, using a mixer, beat the butter and brown sugar until creamy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Gradually add the flour, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is smooth.
  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until firm before cutting into squares.

Notes

Make sure to heat treat the flour to eliminate any bacteria before using. This dessert is best stored in the refrigerator.
