  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips, then spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the middle. Allow to cool before slicing into bars.

Notes

For a nutty twist, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter with the chocolate chips.
