Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips, then spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the middle. Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
For a nutty twist, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter with the chocolate chips.
