  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 15 oz kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 15 oz diced tomatoes with juices
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 cup macaroni pasta uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until translucent.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
  • Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper, and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, macaroni pasta, and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the macaroni is tender.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover and let it sit until the cheese has melted.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your Easy Chili Mac.
