  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast boneless and skinless
  • 8 oz ham deli sliced
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese shredded
  • 12 oz pasta penne or fusilli
  • 2 cups milk whole
  • 2 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1.5 cups breadcrumbs Panko for extra crunch
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Combine cooked pasta, chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, and sauce in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  • Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

Feel free to add a sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish before serving.
