  • 1 lb ground beef 80% lean
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.75 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns toasted
  • 0.25 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  • Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted and evenly distributed.
  • Serve beef mixture on toasted hamburger buns. Enjoy!

Notes
