  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 can tomato sauce 8 oz
  • 1 cup beef broth low sodium
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta rotini or macaroni
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer until pasta is just tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 20 minutes.

Notes
