Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine blackberries, 0.5 cup of sugar, and lemon juice. Stir to coat berries.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining 0.5 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
