Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork sausage mild, spicy, or breakfast-style
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 tablespoons milk optional, for extra moisture
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Mix Ingredients:
  • In a large bowl, combine the sausage, cheese, Bisquick mix, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Use your hands or a sturdy spoon to mix everything until well combined. If the mixture feels too dry, add a tablespoon or two of milk.
  • Shape the Balls:
  • Scoop and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake:
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve Warm:
  • These are best served warm and fresh out of the oven. Pair them with honey mustard, ranch dressing, or spicy dipping sauce for extra flavor.

Notes

You can make these sausage balls ahead of time and freeze them for up to 3 months. Simply reheat in the oven before serving.
