Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, and ground cinnamon.
Transfer apple mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In another bowl, mix cold butter, oats, brown sugar, 1 cup flour, baking powder, and salt until crumbly.
Sprinkle oat mixture over apple mixture evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For a slightly tart flavor, use Granny Smith apples.
