  • 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from skillet and slice into strips.
  • In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  • Return chicken and cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat evenly in the sauce.
  • Sprinkle fresh basil over the pasta. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with additional Parmesan and freshly cracked black pepper. Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
