Ingredients
 

  • For the Crust:
  • 1 lb 2 cups chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs (like Oreos)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • For the Peppermint Cream Layer:
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping like Cool Whip
  • For the Chocolate Pudding Layer:
  • 2 3.9 oz packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • For the Topping:
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or chocolate shavings optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust:
  • Combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a medium bowl. Mix until evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish to form the crust. Refrigerate while preparing the other layers.
  • Make the Peppermint Cream Layer:
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Add the peppermint extract and mix until combined. Fold in the whipped topping. Spread the mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Pudding Layer:
  • In another bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mixes and cold milk until thickened. Spread the pudding evenly over the peppermint cream layer.
  • Add the Final Topping:
  • Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the chocolate pudding layer. Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies, mini chocolate chips, or chocolate shavings on top for garnish.
  • Chill:
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to set.
  • Serve:
  • Slice into squares and serve chilled.
