Ingredients
 

  • 1 bunch about 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup 0.25 lbs shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup 0.12 lbs grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley lemon zest, or red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
  • Set oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Prep the Asparagus:
  • Place trimmed asparagus on the baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss to coat and spread into a single layer.
  • Bake:
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until asparagus is tender but still has a slight bite.
  • Add Cheese:
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the asparagus.
  • Return to oven and bake for another 3–5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve:
  • Garnish with optional parsley, lemon zest, or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
  • Serve warm as a side dish to steak, chicken, fish, or pasta.
