Instructions
Preheat Oven:
Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt.
Add Cheese:
Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese so it’s evenly coated in the flour mixture.
Combine Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter. Pour into the dry mixture and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
Bake the Bread:
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the top is golden.
Add the Garlic Butter Topping:
While the bread bakes or right after removing it from the oven, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
Brush the top of the warm bread with the garlic butter.
Cool & Serve:
Let cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
