Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and the instant pudding mix.
Stir in the milk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top of the batter.
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the chocolate chips.
Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the top.
Drizzle the melted butter over the entire dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve topped with whipped cream if desired.
Notes
This dump cake is best served warm, with or without a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
