Instructions
Prepare the Steak:
Season the Steak: Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or cast-iron pan, heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add the steak and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side, until a nice crust forms.
Flip and Cook: Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare (adjust time based on thickness and desired doneness).
Remove and Rest: Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5-10 minutes while you prepare the Cajun butter sauce.
Prepare the Cajun Butter Sauce:
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add Bourbon and Seasoning: Carefully add the bourbon and Worcestershire sauce, then sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring to combine and allowing the alcohol to cook off slightly.
Serve:
Slice the Steak: Slice the rested steak against the grain and place it on a serving platter.
Drizzle with Sauce: Pour the Cajun butter sauce over the sliced steak and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
