  • 1 pound breakfast sausage mild or spicy, according to preference
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough 8 biscuits total
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2% milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese sharp or mild, according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat.
  • Cut each biscuit into quarters and layer evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • Spread cooked sausage over the biscuit pieces.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour over the sausage and biscuits.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until eggs are set and cheese is melted and golden.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can substitute the cheddar cheese with Monterey Jack or a cheese blend of your choice.
