Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture alternately with the sour cream.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
For the frosting, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add in powdered sugar and vanilla extract and beat until fluffy.
Once the cake is cool, spread the frosting evenly over the top. Slice and serve.
