Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cans 15 oz each baked beans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook Bacon and Onion: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside. Leave about 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease in the skillet. Add the diced onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the baked beans, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Stir in the cooked onions and half of the bacon.
  • Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the bean mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining bacon over the top.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the beans are bubbly and the top is caramelized.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
