Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
Add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until vegetables are soft, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Pour in the red wine, increase the heat, and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 2 minutes to reduce slightly.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes and lower the heat to maintain a gentle simmer. Cook uncovered for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the milk, season with salt and pepper, and let it cook for another 30 minutes.
