Quick and Delicious Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pork Belly Bites:

  • 1 pound pork belly, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For Garnish:

  • Chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the pork belly into bite-sized cubes, ensuring uniformity for even cooking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, olive oil, Chinese five-spice powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the pork belly cubes to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Allow the pork to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes, or for a richer flavor, refrigerate overnight.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the marinated pork belly cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding to promote even cooking.
  6. Air fry the pork belly for 15-20 minutes, flipping the cubes halfway through the cooking process. The goal is to achieve a golden brown and crispy exterior.
  7. Once cooked to perfection, carefully remove the pork belly bites from the air fryer, allowing any excess oil to drain on a paper towel.
  8. Garnish the pork belly bites with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for an added burst of freshness and texture.
  9. Present the Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites as a delightful appetizer or snack, celebrating the harmonious blend of flavors and the satisfying crispiness of the exterior.
