Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pan:

    • Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan, or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar:
    • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla:
    • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine with Dry Ingredients and Milk:
    • Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
