- 1 box (about 15.25 oz) cake mix (any flavor—lemon, chocolate, and strawberry are popular choices)
- 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling the cookies)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
- Mix the Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, Cool Whip, and egg. Mix until well blended. The dough will be sticky; this is normal.
- Shape the Cookies:
- Drop teaspoons of the dough into a bowl of powdered sugar. Roll them around to lightly coat and form them into balls.
- Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are slightly cracked.
- Be careful not to overbake to ensure the cookies remain soft and fluffy.
- Cool:
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
