Ingredients
Scale
- 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into rings or spears
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pineapple:
- If you haven’t done so already, peel, core, and slice the pineapple into rings or spears, depending on your preference.
- Marinate (Optional):
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. If using, you can also mix in the melted butter to create a paste.
- Coat the pineapple slices or spears with the brown sugar mixture. Let them marinate for about 15-30 minutes to enhance the flavors.
- Preheat the Grill:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Pineapple:
- Place the pineapple slices or spears on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until you see nice grill marks and the sugar begins to caramelize.
- Serve:
- Remove the grilled pineapple from the grill and serve it warm. It’s delicious on its own or paired with ice cream, whipped cream, or even a drizzle of honey or caramel sauce.
